Lunchtime, and other mouth related news...

Here are a couple snapshots of Jake feeding himself some tofu for lunch this afternoon. He's getting better and better with the spoon, but does sometimes put it a bit too far back in his mouth--he always looks surprised when this happens!

In other news, Jake finally seems to be getting his first tooth! A bit of white is peeking through in the top left front spot. This may explain why he's been so unusually cranky for the past few afternoons...

As we've been examining his mouth quite a lot lately, I'd like to speculate that Jake is going to be able to flip his tongue over, roll his tongue, and do a clover tongue. While Craig and I can both roll our tongues and I can do a clover, neither of us can flip our tongues. I'm curious who Jake inherited this from??? Any tongue flipping relatives out there?

As far as tongue genetics, well, I don't have a clue.. It seems to me all my children are talented in this regard, esp, tongue flipping (whatever THAT means) Hope Jacob has more self control!!! I would like to witness the cloverleaf...definitly nothing anyone but you know about!!
Love you guys G.S.xxx
